print("Reprint")

Two printers, one really old and connected using an lpt1 to network connection, and was black, white, and noisy. The other one is colorful, but needed a toner change. The sides of shelves that held them together had warped over time shouldering their heavy loads, and the pins holding the individual shelves stretched out so that the slightest pressure made them collapse.

The toner change made it worse, and I couldn't salvage both shelves, so I tossed the old trusty b/w one.

As the night went on I realized I could unwarp the wall of the shelf (it was really only one wall that was bending / bulging), by wedging something between that wall and the wall of the adjacent bookshelf. Volia - a bit better; good enough for the shelf pins to support the printer.

I had already tossed the printer, but luckily the collection guys don't come so early on a Sunday, so I was able to salvage it, and re-install it in it's former position and glory.

Why do we discard things? It may be due to seemingly unresolvable things, fatigue, and frustration. Sometimes, using some proverbial glue, tape, cardboard, or other bits of creativity solves a small problem that allows you to keep your otherwise functioning things.
